LOST: The End is Near!?

Egads! Planning the end already? I knew that they had a "fixed storyline" in mind, but never that they were actually discussing the end already.  Argh!

Is it too soon? Do you think enough will (or can) be explained in the meantime?  Do you think LOST deserves should be carried on indefinitely or ended at a specific point in the story? [EDIT: Apparently from various sources the "magic number" is 100 episodes...]

ending? Lost ending? I would like it to go on longer then 100, but end before it turns into a stupid night time soap. But right now, it is much to soon to even be thinking of the end.
