What's More Important To You?

So when we come back here in a few days, which of the ongoing plot lines are you most anxious to see followed through?  We've got:

  • The Jack/Kate/Sawyer love triangle (and the ensuing escape)
  • Ben on the operating table w/ Jack and Juliet
  • Locke, Sayid and the new guys off on a quest
  • Desmond and his new precognitive powers
  • Anything else I'm not thinking of at the moment?

Personally I'm more interested in what Locke's crew are going to find in their quest North-ward.  I think they'll unearth things more relevant to the island's mysteries and DHARMA than any of the other lines.  I'm betting they at some point find Mr. One Eye and the new station he is in.

Of course Desmond's story is only just now unfolding, but I'm sure that will have some huge implications.  Especially once we revisit Penny and the Arctic station's importance.

As for the love triangle?  I really think that was dropped in in an effort to make the show a little more "mainstream" and attract some erstwhile viewers.  Call me a cynic.

And the bit with Ben on the table, I'm not sure that has many repercussions for the overall "mystery", but it will shed some more light on the nature of the Others.  Who knows, it might tie back to Locke somehow.

I think I am most interested in Desmond and his newly acquired powers and how that ties to the overall island mystery. I agree with you regarding Jack and Ben on the table, with the exception that it is another one of those "prove your mettle" type episodes for Jack. Is he a doctor in his soul? Or has being watched, captured and tortured changed him to the point that he REALLY is willing to kill someone?

Perosnally I think it's ALL of these things that keep me coming back. They all seem to eventually play into eachother, so you never know what something means when you see it the first time. So much mystery...that's the whole point I think. I can't wait for Wed night.

I'm starting to forget why I watched this show in the first place. But hope springs eternal. I need answers.
