(Partial) Recap: Abandonded
I was only able to catch about the first 20 minutes or so of last night's double header, and noticed a few interesting things that make sense in retrospect, or I didn't notice before...

- During the scene where Shannon and her step-mom are standing in a doorway in the hospital, I think I saw a scrub-wearing Dr. Jack hurry quickly around them through the doorway. More "small world"-ness!
- When Rose and Hurley are hanging clothes, Rose says about Shannon, "It must be hard losing the only person you care about on the island." To which Hurley gives an interesting look.
- Locke says to Claire about the baby, (paraphrased) "Babies like feeling constrained, its not until we grow up we begin to desire freedom." I wonder if this was a bit of foreshadowing about Locke and his viewpoints on the hatch(es)? Maybe Locke forced the hand and has made everyone "grow up" and move past the constraints of the hatch?
- Shannon's "Walt vision". He is standing before her, drenched in water, and says something like "I swallowed it." OK, so now that we know Walt and Michael are out on the ocean in that little boat, maybe this is a vision of Walt's demise out there? And if its not, what does it mean? Additionally, we see Shannon drinking a lot of water, and she was going to get up to go get some more water when she saw this vision. Curious.

Old Smokey
Another gem from The Lost Blog, this time a closer look at the "smoke monster" and what actually brings about the "attacks."
A Re-examination of the Monster Attacks - The Lost Blog
Personally I don't have a decent theory on the origin or purpose of "the smoke." I'm also not convinced that the "smoke" and "the monster" are the same thing... I don't think we've seen the smoke at the same times we've seen/heard the screeching, the footsteps, and the tossing about of shrubbery. (Could be wrong, I've slept since then!)

Jin and Sun
The Lost Blog asks the following question:
A way to get Sun on the boat? - The Lost Blog
A good question. Although I had thought that Jin and Sun had somewhat resolved their differences, and the outcome was that Jin was "letting up" on his protectiveness and was starting to trust her more as an independent individual rather than a "traditional" Korean wife. (Or however you want to put it.)
I can't recall when that took place, maybe the episode which focused on the Jin/Sun backstory and when she found out she was pregnant.... A little fuzzy on that we are.

Atlantis?
Did a bit more searching and came up with this forum post, which has several interesting links about the origins of our four-toed-statue friend.
Ancient Island History : Hieroglyphics, Stonehenge rock piles, Four Toes Statue, etc. - The Fuselage
Additionally, the "Atlantis" theory lends itself awfully well to my theory, which I still haven't posted here yet.

Rerun: Adrift
[Warning! Some Spoilers for the non-USians!]
Well, I figured I'd start watching the reruns here, just to see if anything in them makes more sense now that the finale is done, and we've learned all we're going to this season.
These are things I noticed that make perfect sense now, but may not have been noticed the first time around.
Not too much of note, just a few bullet points:

Not too much of note, just a few bullet points:
- John tells Desmond they've been there 44 days, to which Desmond seems to react like he knows what has happened. Of course he does, since 44 days ago he let the timer expire!
- Sawyer goes on about the boat having a maximum range of about a hundred miles, that it couldn't make it far on the open ocean. What does this mean for Michael and Walt? What is so close to the island that they'd be able to be rescued?
- Was that a comic book on Desmond's dinette table? Looked like one.
- Desmond lets slip a laughing, "A raft?" when John tells him about the explorers. Of course he knows they're not going to get far.
- The music that Desmond's got on the turntable, "Make Your Own Kind Of Music", to which the lyrics go: "You've gotta make your own kind of music, sing your own special song. Make your own kind of music, even if nobody else sings along." Maybe a bit of foreshadowing of Locke's eventual viewpoint on the hatch (and its eventual desctruction)?
- Michael gives the younger Walt a stuffed polar bear toy. I think I recall that the first time around, but now that it seems Walt has (had?) some kind of "ability", and he's apparently gone, what does this mean for the island? No more polar bear sightings?
- Michael's decision to get Walt back when he's out on the ocean in the raft wreckage takes on a bit more sinister tone, now that we know just how far he will go.

"What They Want Us To Know"
I'm writing most of this "game" junk off, I think, but they seem to keep tossing in stuff that might be relevant to the show, and what's actually going on on the island.
(Fair warning, minor spoiler ahead for you non-USians)
Case in point is the new Hanso site, "Retrievers of Truth" about the clairvoyant abilities of the Yellow Lab. Um, OK.
Oh yeah, isn't Walt's dog Vincent a Yellow Lab? Right! Also note the researcher's name. Vincent "Wally" (Walt? What?).
And what is up with the picture of Vinny Wally there? Supposedly an "accident victim", it looks more like a photoshop job to me.
Big question is:
Now that Michael and Walt are (supposedly) gone, what's to become of our beloved four-legged Vincent?
Rescued For Real?
Wow. I kind of thought there'd be a nifty story line around that. Disappointing if true... Follow link for spoiler-filled rumor.....
