Whilst semi-watching Eureka on the Wrest^HH^HH^H SciFi Channel, there was a familiar-looking spot with a familiar-looking airplane crash and a familiar-looking island with a familiar-looking band of castaways. 

Can't find much else on this at the moment other than it's some sort of King Kong re-telling, but the ad spots are just a little more than a blatant (and bad at that) copycat of our favorite show.

It's kind of funny.

Sorry for the sporadic posting lately, going to try and make up for it....

At the season 2 DVD-release party (woo! :-/ ) more tidbits about the upcoming season, most notable:

• The hatch is apparently "no more" in the form we are used to seeing it.
• The "split season" was confirmed again.
• This season (presumably the second half) will be more about "The Others" and "their mission, their agenda, whatever that might be."
• "There'll be a lot of love. There'll be a lot of comedy,'' Burk said.
  "But we can never forget that these people are in a very dark place.''

Canadian beauty EVANGELINE LILLY shocks her LOST co-star MATTHEW FOX with her willingness to pee anywhere, anytime.

The actress, who plays castaway KATE in the hit show, is often nowhere near a toilet during jungle scenes on the Hawaiian island set, so relieves herself when necessary.

She says, "Matthew thinks I'm weird. "Three or four times we've been filming in the bushes and I've relieved myself within 15 feet of him.

I'm not really sure I needed to know this.  And now you do, too!!

Sanchez joins the cast as a woman name Nikki. The trade says that she might be a love interest for a new character played by Rodrigo Santoro.
