Some LOST Theorization
The big bonus is Doc Jensen's theorizations and musings on a couple of points, namely the 'Kelvin Connection' and a 'Past and Future' bit...
...and...In the end, I think many elements within Lost will require a fair amount of non-resolution in order for the greater whole to actually make sense. Lost has captured imagination. Maybe it would be for the best if a lot of it was left there. Know what I mean?
Except for Kelvin. Now there's one of those possible ''minor mysteries of Lost'' that absolutely, positively needs some resolution, at least in my book.
If you're struggling to recall who I'm talking about, Kelvin was the U.S. military spook who forced Sayid into becoming a torturer during the Gulf War. He was also the guy who was manning the Hatch when Desmond washed up on the island roughly three years ago. BURNING QUESTION How did Kelvin wind up on the island as a member of the Dharma Initiative?
Remember all the speculation last season about the possibility that maybe there were two groups of Others? To wit, there was one group out in the jungle still connected to the Dharma Initiative, and another group opposed to Dharma, and both were harassing (or maybe helping) our castaways. The debate was kinda abandoned at some point during the Henry Gale storyline. But if we return to the idea, season 3 reveals itself. Some interesting thoughts to ponder....

IGN's LOST Loose Ends
Lots of juicy info, like this...
#46: The Four-Toed Statue FootI'm still going through it all! How did we miss this!?! And there could be stuff considered to be spoilers....
There was arguably no bigger "What the hell?" moment in the season two finale, "Live Together Die Alone," than the glimpse of an enormous sandaled foot with just four toes. Seen by Sayid, Jin and Sun while onboard Desmond's sailboat, Sayid comments that he's not sure which is more disturbing -- that the rest of the statue is missing, or that it only has four toes. Series executive producers/writers Damon Lindelof and Carlton Cuse stated in the official Lost podcast on May 26, 2006 that the statue is a lead-in to season three, where we'll find that the statue predates the Dharma Initiative being on the island. Well, we have approximately 18 episodes left in the season for them to come up with some kind of flashback to pre-Dharma life on the island.

ALL MAY BE 'LOST' FOR DR. JACK
Link: ALL MAY BE 'LOST' FOR DR. JACK - Post staff writer - New York Post Online Edition: Seven"This is the most insane rumor regarding 'Lost' to date,"
the show's co-creator, Damon Lindelof, told E! Online, the website for
the gossipy cable TV channel."The fact that you think we might do it is incredibly flattering," he added ominously - a non-denial that has only stirred up speculation over the weekend.

Does LOST need fixing?
...which would you rather tune in to next fall: a brand-new mystery from the creators of Lost, that entirely satisfying and thrilling limited-run series you loved? Or yet another season of Lost,I don't feel like I'm being mocked. Although the four-toed statue might've come close if they don't go back there....
that show that started out so well but is now meandering all over the
damn place? Puzzles are meant to be solved, not prolonged. You can only
tease viewers so long before they feel like theyâ??re being mocked.

5 ways to save 'Lost' (not!)
Link: 5 ways to save 'Lost'
1. Answer more questions! No! And Yes. Answer the important ones. I'm sure a lot of questions will never have answers. Part of the fun is figuring out which mean anything and which are red herrings.
2. Stop adding castaways. Agreed. Nikki and Paulo are the prime example. What is their purpose again? They haven't had one yet. Everyone else with a recurring role has had a purpose for the story. Whether they've only been their once or twice (Rose and Bernard) or for a short time (Eko, Libby, and Ana Lucia) they contributed.
3. Wrap-up The Others' storyline. Eehhhhh, I dunno. Unless it starts going somewhere fast I'll agree. The whole 'Jack under glass' thing is getting a bit tiresome.
4. Get rid of the add-nothing flashbacks. No. Just because this guy can't see the forest through the trees is no reason to lose them. They are an integral part of the show, and without it it would just be another 'Jericho' or what have you.
5. Pump up the action. Again, NO. You want action, watch 'The Unit' or reruns of 'Starsky and Hutch.' What makes LOST what it is is the 'Twilight Zone' meets 'soap opera' meets scifi aspect of it. Character and story development isn't all fun and games, now.
Thoughts guys?
