Elizabeth Mitchell Cagey!
Sorry I thought that sounded good.
Ooooh I can't wait. A week and a day to go. This is looking more and more like we'll finally get some real insight into the nature of the Others....

Lost flashbacks always tie into the island action of the episode, but Mitchell wasn??t giving anything away there. ??I think they??re giving you an insight into what??s happening and they further develop what happens at the end of the episode which is something we??ve been waiting to happen. So that??s how they kind of mixed it in there. I can??t really say anything more than that because I don??t want to give anything away if anyone hasn??t seen it, but I do believe they further it. I believe what happens to Juliet and what her experience is then kind of feeds into what she??s doing and why she??s doing it, a little bit why she??s doing it.?Can't wait can't wait.

What's to Come
IGN recaps the recent LOST "panel" discussion in detail... Aw heck just read it.

It's no secret that there have been some grumblings about the hit show in the past few months, with some fans and critics unhappy with some of the story points on the show, however, the show clearly remains one plenty of people are interested in. Probably because so much analysis is given to the overall story on Lost, the writers/producers found themselves answering many more questions than the cast. Not sure why the media has tied LOST to the whipping post lately, but hopefully everyone will be "shut up" in grand style come Feb. 7!!!

Back to Basics
SciFi Wire sat down with Daniel Dae Kim, and talked a bit more about the upcoming continuation of season 3....
Nice to hear that we'll be seeing more of the rest of the beach castaways again.

As for the rumor of an impending character death, Kim didn't deny it, but hoped that audiences would be watching the show for reasons other than finding out who will be the next to be killed off. "Our show for some reason has taken on this mystery of who's going to die next," he said "And I'm not sure how that happened or why it's happening. And I'm hoping that it doesn't become the main focus of what the audience is looking for."Ominous to be sure. Hopefully we won't see any of the "core" killed off without -good reason-. I hate when that happens.

"It's All Fun and Games..."
Well, until somebody puts an eye out. Wait didn't somebody find one somewhere....
Anyway, the Doc returns with more, natch, a lot of good stuff this time. Preview thoughts on "Not in Portland" and a few theories to chew on...
He spills (spoils?) the beans about some key (and obscure) details in the episode that may prove useful.

Remember in the pilot, when Rose heard The Monster roar, and we heard her say that she thought that it sounded weirdly familiar? Well, I recently asked exec producer Damon Lindelof about this, and he promised that one day, Rose's comment will be explained. Now that's what I'm talkin' 'bout.

When You're LOST, No One Can Hear You Scream
Holloway quips about the producers' willingness to off characters at will...

"...he and the rest of the cast constantly live with the knowledge that no one is untouchable on the show. "Oh, of course not," Holloway said in an interview at the Television Critics press tour in Pasadena, Calif. "I feel like in the current atmosphere of TV shows, they're willing to kill a main character without a problem. So that's always a possibility. ... I think the nature of the show and the organic way that they write, and still continue to create, is they're willing to let someone shine. If they shine, they'll write for them. If they don't, they'll move on. It's kind of the reality of what we do."And a couple of other bits regarding the loooove triangle thing....

'Not In Portland' Flashback Info
So, I think this was revealed some time ago, but SciFi spills the news again. Juliet gets the flashback this time. Now this should be interesting as it'd be the first time we've seen a flashback from an "Other."
Being as Juliet is still somewhat of a "mystery character" this will hopefully give us some serious insight into her background. At least I hope so anyway.
With any luck it will give us some answers as to the existence and purpose of the Others in general....

More Ask Ausiello LOST Answers
TVGuide's Micheal Ausiello answers some mail, including a bunch of LOST questions... such as:

And more I won't spoil for you hereQuestion: Will the Jack-Juliet relationship develop into something more than just captor-hostage story line??? Natalie
Ausiello: Most definitely, says Cuse. "The relationship and the chemistry between these two characters is something we're really interested in as writers. Juliet is a really intriguing character. It's not entirely clear how good she is or how bad she is. What are her underlying motives? What is her history on the island? And I think her relationship with [Jack] is something that is going to be really compelling as we run into the later part of the season."

LOST: The End is Near!?
Egads! Planning the end already? I knew that they had a "fixed storyline" in mind, but never that they were actually discussing the end already. Argh!
Is it too soon? Do you think enough will (or can) be explained in the meantime? Do you think LOST deserves should be carried on indefinitely or ended at a specific point in the story? [EDIT: Apparently from various sources the "magic number" is 100 episodes...]

'Not In Portland' - Info Coming In
Might be old news to some of you, but here's a 'overview' I found....
Wonder what relevance going through Sawyer's stash has? Maybe just to create some conflict amongst the beach bunch? I certainly hope not, that kind of soapy junk gets me ire up! Unless they find something particularly interesting....
Guest stars for this one: Guest Stars: Kimberly Estrada (Sherry) , Zeljko Ivanek (Edmund Burke) , William Mapother (Ethan Rom)
So it looks like Ethan gets to come back for a bit? I know I've read the flashback's character focus before but it's escaping me right now.... Anyone remember?

In this episode, we pick up right where the last one left off. This particular episode is Juliet-centric. We get to discover her past. At the beach, Charlie and Hurley go through Sawyers's belongings, and his personal stash of food. Meanwhile, back at the Others' camp, Jack has complete control over the Others, since Ben's life is in his hands. Kate and Sawyer escape from the men holding Sawyer at gunpoint.Spoilage? Probably. But nothing you didn't suspect already. Interesting they come right out and say that Kate and Sawyer run, considering they've no place to go.

Shepard's Alter Ego
I think this story's making the rounds, but I'll post a link to this one... A few details on the "dark side" of Matthew Fox... including:

Fox also enjoys skinny-dipping, something he does, he says, because he's comfortable in the nude.I'm sure we're all better off knowing that! :p
