The Logical Conclusion...
The Hollywood Reporter interviews Carlton and Damon about the future of the show, and gets some surprising answers. The big news: The ending is conceived! And it won't be a let down!
And further, C&D talk a bit about the missteps, including the "Bad Twin" tie-in and everyone's favorite (cough again) short-timers Nikki and Paulo.

"Obviously, we can't wait to the 48th hour to say, 'Here are all the mysteries of the show,' " Lindelof said. But Cuse also noted the reality of the sometimes vociferous and heavily engaged viewership of the show, which uses the Web to advance theories and post explanations and even freeze-frames to parse further meaning. They go on to talk about the "mobisodes" (cough) which should appear sometime this fall, and will feature the cast in short brand new segments. How much can they further the show in a limited set of 90-second snippets? Unsure about this one.
"I'm not sure there is any ending that will satisfy everyone," Cuse said. "Our hope is that the ending will be ... the logical conclusion of the story."

Carlton needs a hug. In an article at timesunion about the essay portion of the Emmy Award nominations, the Cusemeister seems a little Despondent over the power the of words. Here is what he had to say about the essay phase:
"I don't know how you can even begin to explain 'Lost' in 250 words or less," Cuse wrote me in an e-mail. "We're going to have to rely on the fact that members of the TV academy are TV watchers and hopefully will have seen other episodes of the show."
