Friday Night!?
I still can't find a link to the actual comment that precipitated this fury of discussion, but the skinny of it is that LOST may be moving to Friday nights. And everyone seems to be in a tizzy over it.
Why? If memory serves, "The X-Files" survived and flourished for how many years on Friday? SciFi's Friday line up (Stargate(s), BSG, Dr. Who, Farscape, etc.) did and still does well enough.
Of course putting LOST in that time slot would really screw up my DVR recording scheduling!
I say go for it....

The Orchid
Still digesting all the stuff from the first person accounts of Comic-con, but here is "The Orchid Video", enjoy! I'll be studying this one intently.

Michael Will Return!
Whoa! I guess that means... well I dunno what that means! I guess it would explain Walt being back, maybe that was actually him?! Argh!

William Mapother Interview
The Tail Section comes through again in these dark LOST-less times, with an interview with William Mapother, aka Ethan Rom, everyone's favorite dead Other!
When Ethan first shows up in bad guy mode, after Hurley finds out he isnâ??t on the manifest, he has this absolutely terrifying expression and presence. Where did you ever learn to pour on the creepy like that? Was it difficult to find the right â??cold and evilâ?? look for Ethan?Link: Doc Encounters Ethan Rom (William Mapother), and Lives to Tell About it!
I have no clue as to the source of that look. When I saw it on screen, I creeped myself. Lighting and story context helped a lot, of course. As the first non-survivor, Mary Poppins would've had a bit of creep to her. We shot my expression and performance many different ways, and I couldn't have bet which they'd choose. They picked Creepy #2, I think. A fine vintage, apparently.

Season Four Casting Rumors
Let the speculation run wild...
Between the possible return of Michael and Walt, to a couple of well known faces possibly added, where are we going to be taken next season?! Yikes!

1) Negotiations with Harold Perrineau and Malcolm David Kelley are being made with Malcolm contract practically agreed and feelings are that agreement with Harold's people is very close. You might recognize Stormare from Prison Break, Windtalkers, and other roles.... Wonder what's up with that? And Whitaker? Flashback (or forward!) maybe?
2) Only one new actor will enter in the fixed cast, and the actor currently being sought for this role is Peter Stormare.
3) The producers have invited the actor Forest Whitaker to participate in two episodes at the start of the season

LOST Emmy Nominations
The Emmy nominations are in. Looks like LOST is relegated to some of the more obscure technical categories, (single-camera picture editing?) but good to see O'Quinn and Emerson tapped, as well as Bender and ol' C&D.
Thanks TailSection and others: Congratulations LOST!

Clover? Cloverfield? Whatever it is...
...it looks friggin awesome!
If you've seen Transformers in the theater this past week, you've no doubt seen the documentary-style trailer for the yet-unnamed movie from LOST mastermind J.J. Abrams.
I had heard about it, but didn't think it'd be all that impressive, but the shooting style and the way the effects are blended into that... wowie batman.
I'd post a link to youtube or whatnot but it would seem that its a moving target at this point. More info as I get it.

Patchy Joins Indy IV Cast!
In a as-yet-unknown role, Andrew Divoff, aka Mikhail "Patchy/Uno" Bakunin of DHARMA fame, has signed onto the cast of the upcoming Indiana Jones sequel, Indiana Jones and the City of the Gods.

So this latest Indiana Jones 4 news isn't exactly up there with the first picture of Harrison Ford in a fedora, but there is so much attention directed at the movie that we should just resign ourselves to reading every little update that comes our way. JoBlo is reporting that Andrew Divoff from TV's LOST has just signed on for an unnamed role. Since I don't have my flow charts with me, it is probably way too complicated to explain who Divoff plays on LOST, but let's just say he has some experience playing shadowy Russian types. So, his part in Indy just might be along those lines. The return of Indiana Jones has sparked a fan frenzy already with news of locations, casting, and things like the "will he or won't he" questions surrounding Sean Connery's return ... it's enough to exhaust anyone.I only hope they do the Indy franchise right by this film. I really don't want this to be yet another FX-over-story festival....
The basics that have been reported are that Indiana Jones and the City of the Gods will catch up with our favorite bull-whip wielding archaeologist during the Cold War and pit him against some nefarious Soviets who are after alien technology. While details on the plot are being hidden like national secrets, there is plenty of speculation about the story focusing on the infamous spot of Area 51. The Las Cruces Sun-News had reported that the film was set to start shooting in Deming, New Mexico, and the production had constructed an Air Force base that has some striking similarities to the Area 51 of conspiracy lore. Since the assumption so far has been that the bad-guys in the film would mostly be Russian, one could safely assume Divoff is on board to play a baddie. This is hardly the last we are going to hear from the project though, so we'll keep the updates coming.

Brief Cusick Piece
Hello! Magazine has a brief bit of non-content about what's going on with Henry Ian Cusick, aka Desmond Hume of LOST.... Really nothing to write home about but (now that I've returned from the nether regions) we gotta write about something!!!
Link: UK small screen star Henry cements his 'Lost' credentials

Two years ago he was among the ranks of the virtually unknown - one of the vaguely familiar TV faces known to viewers from small parts on British shows like Casualty, Midsomer Murders and Two Thousand Acres Of Sky. Now, hunky half Scottish-half Peruvian actor Henry Ian Cusick has joined the likes of former EastEnder Michelle Ryan and ER actress Parminder Nagra in taking his career to new heights with a key role in a hit US show, as Lost's mysterious castaway Desmond. And if it hasn't been said before, shows start filming in August, so maybe some good spoilage will start flowing! Unless last seasons 'spoilergate' debacle has clamped security....
