So... What Are We Gonna Watch?
Well, It's about that time. For the past 3 years we've waited in wanton anticipation for this week, the week when LOST premieres and we all go nuts waiting to see what new wild 'n' crazy sh*t C&D have cast down upon the ground in front of us.
But not this time. We're still a good five months out. Curse you C&D!!!
So what are we all watching in the meantime? I only just started watching Heroes toward the end of the last season, so admittedly I'm a little behind the curve. Jericho started off with promise but quite frankly missed the mark by so far I don't think it can recover, despite the huge fan push.
I saw the first episode of "Journeyman" on NBC, and I think I'm gonna give this one a chance. There's just enough of a twist there to keep me interested for a couple of episodes anyway. Although I can't help think that this was concieved in a "let's take old ideas (Quantum Leap *cough*) and tweak them just enough to make them new again!" type of meeting....
Quite frankly I skipped "The Bionic Woman" as I can vaguely recall seeing the original and its predecessor, "The Six Million Dollar Man" (queue funky bionic sound) on TV. Actually I had a couple of 6MDM dolls and I even had the Sasquatch one with the breakaway stomach.... Still have a bionic arm lying around someplace.... anyway.... Just not interested. Remakes dont' interest me much. Frankly not much new this season interests me much in any significant way at all. Is it just me?
I also can't help but wonder if this long absence is going to hurt LOST in the long run. I'm still plently PO'd at Ron Moore for F-ing up Battlestar Galactica like he has. Just when the show starts to show some promise he goes and does some acid trip Bob Dylan thing and announces there's only one more season and half of our heroes are really bad guys. What? WHAT? I can't help think that people are just plain going to forget about LOST. Once February rolls around there's going to be a lot of "eh, whatever" type of feelings. Of course it could pick up steam just as some shows are giving it up for the season, so who knows?
Anyway. What do you think will be the big killers this fall? Heroes? Bionic Woman? Journeyman? Moonlight? Anyone care to hazard a guess?

Libby... Let The Speculation Commence
You know, this is good news. I figured there was more to that story, especially considering that little comment that was dropped during Locke's stint at the commune about "Lizzie." And given the already established ties to Desmond and the boat, and to daddy Warbucks Whatsisname (man its been too long! argh!) and to the looney bin and Dave/Hurley....

"She'll be in enough of the show for us to fill in the missing pieces of her story," says Cuse. "We could not be more pleased. Cynthia is a smart and engaging actor, and [executive producer] Damon [Lindelof] and I have some very cool parts of her story left to tell."Good news, wonder how this will play out?

Monday Night LOST?
Queue the MNF music (dun-dun-dun-DUH!! er or something)
So the big rumor now is not Friday, but rather 8pm (7pm central) on Monday. Well...uh. OK.
That's gonna make for a packed schedule, especially considering that a large contingent will be whipping over to ESPN for the game (probably NOT seeing as the season will be over by then, thanks for pointing that out!. A big DUH-sandwich for me.) Unless they manage to squeeze it in beforehand. As for Prison Break, is anyone else just not interested in the whole "foreign prison with no guards" thing or is it just me? And unless 24 turns things around after least season, I'm not watching this time. The "lets just drop the entire story-to-date!" bit half way through killed it for me.

The rumor is that Lost will be moving to Monday nights at 8pm. Lost fans who also enjoy a little Prison Break will surely be miffed, but by and large the placement of Lost on Mondays at 8pm would make it the lead in to a night of unparalleled television entertainment. We'll see I guess, with what, 5 years months left until new episodes, we've got time to burn.
...
Yes, of course we do not know for a fact that the move is coming. I caution you, it is merely a rumor. However, it could be that ABC has learned something from its broadcaster partners in Australia. When Lost was placed adjacent to Heroes for just three episodes, both shows benefited.
