OMG, Where is Vincent?!
He must be on the island, wherever that might be, going... "You know, something's not right. I can't quite put my paws on it, but the air smells different. I'm hungry. Oh look, a bird!" Or something.
I can't believe they didn't address his character!

LOST: There's No Place Like Home, Pt. 3 [RECAP]
We now return to the continuing stooory of how the Oceanic Six came to be off the island. Stay tuned, folks, it only gets better from here! Click through to read the recap for part 3. This is going to be good.
Just like Part 2, I'm going to go in 'episode time' rather than separate the stories.

LOST: There's No Place Like Home, Pt. 2 [RECAP]
Well, this is getting interesting. Mysterious new names, new DHARMA stations, gobs of C4, and those guys who just won't die...
So with the last two parts of this, I think instead of breaking things apart into their separate stories, I'm just going to go along 'as it happened' if you will. There were enough little flash fragments tossed in to make it otherwise confusing. So here goes!

LOST: There's No Place Like Home [ANALYSIS]
We finally gain some insight into the inner workings of the island, as Ben shows us what's down below. We find out the identity of the corpse in Jack's coffin, the real identity of the person we only knew as Jeremy Bentham. This and so much more. But like all finales, these tidbits of knowledge come at a cost....
I've put all of this together in no particular order, so here it goes.

Well, Initial Reactions
If you saw the post below, then yeah, Jeremy Bentham is NOT Ben Linus. You'll have to wait for the real posts for that!
Jeremy Bentham, Panopticon
(Further edit: yeah, so we did already know that. Forgot you guys went after the obit with a magnifying glass, LOL!!! Now its official though!)
Sorry guys, this couldn't wait. 25 minutes in and already going WTF?! (commercial break!)
(EDIT: 10 min. into part 3... maybe its a code name for?... you know....)
Jeremy Bentham (IPA: ['ben??m] or ['bent?m]) (15 February 1748–6 June 1832) was an English jurist, philosopher, and legal and social reformer. He was a political radical, and a leading theorist in Anglo-American philosophy of law. He is best known for his advocacy of utilitarianism, for the concept of animal rights,[1][2] and his opposition to the idea of natural rights, with his oft-quoted statement that the idea of such rights is "nonsense upon stilts."[3] He also influenced the development of welfarism.[4]
...
Among his many proposals for legal and social reform was a design for a prison building he called the Panopticon. Although it was never built, the idea had an important influence upon later generations of thinkers. Twentieth-century French philosopher Michel Foucault argued that the Panopticon was paradigmatic of a whole raft of nineteenth-century 'disciplinary' institutions.

Panopticon:
Wikipedia: Panopticon - Wikipedia, the free encyclopediaThe Panopticon is a type of prison building designed by English philosopher Jeremy Bentham in 1785. The concept of the design is to allow an observer to observe (-opticon) all (pan-) prisoners without the prisoners being able to tell whether they are being watched, thereby conveying what one architect has called the "sentiment of an invisible omniscience."[1]
Bentham himself described the Panopticon as "a new mode of obtaining power of mind over mind, in a quantity hitherto without example."[2]
I'm sure there is a lot more here to digest, but the show will be back on in a minute! Gotta run!
Volcanoes, Bingo, Dharkas and Other Doc J Speculation
...about the Island's volcano back in season 3, if the writers didn't intend to go somewhere with it? So, I might be completely off course, but my finale prediction: volcanic eruption (caused by Island moving and/or Keamy's explosives), which would of course lead to all kinds of running and screaming amongst the left-behind castaways. Can't wait to see, if I'm right!'' — Martin from Cologne, GermanyTo which the Doc responds, quite Zen-like: "Martin is my most favorite person on the planet right now."
I think the Doc knows something we don't. Yet.
(You also gotta love the LOST Bingo card that the fans came up with there... classic.)

LOST Deaths in Triplicate?!
Question: OK, Ausiello, get me psyched for the Lost two-hour finale on Thursday! — Al[Em. mine] Anyone care to lay some odds on whom the soon-to-be-bleeding-demised might be?
Ausiello: The significant death I hinted in the last AA? It's for sure an original cast member. This just in: Better make that (gulp) three original cast members. That's right, per my Lost mole, a trio of island vets won't survive tomorrow's finale. Crikey!
Now. (pause) I'm betting that someone bites it waaaay into the future, in one of the O6 flashforwards or something. That I could live with, probably.

Season Five Mechanics?
There are several rumors about the plan and structure for Season 5 and one of the main rumors is about how the future or Flash forwards we are seeing (2007) will actually be present time with flash backs to the Island. The writers have also confirmed that perhaps a time will come that "flash" will no longer be required.Keep in mind that this is only a rumor, but I can see this making sense. But not for every episode. You have to figure that Locke, the rest of the islanders, AND The Others still have relevance, and trying to tell the island story completely in flashbacks would be, well, just dumb.
I'm predicting that the episodes will either be island-centric (Locke, The Others, Ben?) OR O6-centric (Jack et. al. back home) with flashbacks/forwards where relevant. And if that means flashing back to the island to maybe fill in some blanks then so be it.
What I would hate to see, would be flashbacks from O6 time, back to 'island-future' time. That would just get too confusing, I think. Where the O6's would be going "back" to a time that hasn't yet happened on the island, and then trying to fit the island stories into that.... ARGH. My head hurts just thinking about it.
Two more days!
