Make Your Own Luck

And now for something completely different.

Just had another thought after watching "Tricia Tanaka is Dead."

Did anyone else make the connection between the whole "make your own luck" theme, and the song that was playing on the record player during the season two premiere when we first saw what was in the hatch?  The lyrics of that just popped into my head, "Make your own kind of music, even if nobody else sings along."

Wonder if there's going to be some kind of connection between Hurley and Desmond that we haven't seen yet?  Seems like they might be working towards that, the way they're kind of grouping the three of them together.  Between Hurley being the one to find Des in the jungle, the "Flashes" bit around the fire, and now this, where Hurley's "curse" might be affecting Charlie, and Desmond being the key to breaking it....  Food for thought.
