Also, I think Walt may be better at the interdimensional time travel than Ben and Desmond. The Others claimed he had mad skills and they couldn't control him. So, perhaps he is elsewhere and has the ability to travel where he wants to go (so, no I don't think he was there in person when Locke was in the pit.
As an aside, was anyone else thinking the doctor might be up to something during the birth, as Jin clearly didn't recognize him as her OB-GYN.
I totally forgot about that. Yeah, I wondered if that might have some sort of significance. One of Widmore's lackeys? In cahoots with Daddy Paik?
