LOST: Something Nice Back Home [RECAP]
ARGH! Due to the foulup on Thursday night with the weather, here's your recap of "Something Nice Back Home." Yeah its going to be short, because quite frankly I didn't find a lot that needs much in-depth-ness done to it. I apologize to everyone who'd rather read the long version....
We find out a bit more about the future, in particular the future of Jack and Kate. A mysterious visitor makes two appearances, and somebody else speak Korean. Oh, and Jack gets operated on.

Tales of Future Jack
Hrm, well, here's the short part of this in a nutshell. We find our heroes, Kate and Jack, sometime in the future. Before Jack's meltdown, and after the trial from earlier this season. Jack has changed his mind, and is moved in with Kate and Aaron.
At the office, Jack gets a phone call. It's about Hurley. He goes to see him.
"Why aren't you taking your meds?" "Because we're all dead. All of us, all the Oceanic Six. We never got off the island."
"That's not true." "What did you do today?" Jack tells him about his day with Kate. "I thought you didn't want anything to do with her. It all seems so perfect, just like heaven." "Just because I'm happy doesn't mean its not real."
"I was happy, too, for a while. Then I saw Charlie. He likes to sit with me on the bench on the lawn." "OK. So what do you talk about."
"Yesterday he told me you'd be by. He wanted me to give you a message, he made me write it down." Hurley fumbles around in his nightstand for a paper. "You're not supposed to raise him. Does that make any sense? You think he means Aaron?"
"Just take your meds Hurley, take em." Jack angrily turns to leave. "Oh, Charlie said someone's going to be visiting you, too. Soon."
In a scene echoing last season's finale, we see Jack in the Bronco, looking at the benches where Hurley talks to Charlie. He drives home, and...
...well yeah, he proposes to Kate. OK, get it out now. There....
Back at the office, he's studying a set of x-rays that look a lot like Ben's did. He hears a faint beeping from out in the hall. He goes to explore, and finds the smoke detector in the building's reception is making that 'I'm almost dead' annoying beeping. He takes the battery out of it.
"Jack." A voice says to him. There's the silhouette of a man in a suit sitting on one of the sofas. It's Jack's dad.
"Jack?" Another voice says. It's his colleague. He turns back around to find Christian gone again. "You OK?" He says something about stress, and gets Dr. Erica to write him a prescription for something-ozapam, some sort of sleeping pills. "Maybe you should talk to someone."
He comes home to find Kate on the phone, acting all secretive. They argue about who it was for a second, then he takes some of his pills with a beer. The look on his face seems to indicate he knows the road he's going down.
Kate comes back down later to find Jack drunk, with a bunch of empties lying about. He's getting paranoid suspiscious, and presses her more about who was on the phone. Turns out she's doing something for Sawyer, and didn't want to tell Jack. Argue, argue, argue, Jack turns around realizing that this is going South fast.
But I Did Stay At a Holiday Inn Express!
So Jack's got appendicitis. Juliet sends Jin, Sun, Faraday, and Charlotte off to the old medical hatch after supplies. Turns out Charlotte speaks Korean.
Jack wants Kate to hold the mirror during his operation so he can talk Juliet through it. Bernard and Rose have a bit of a philosophical discussion on why Jack is getting sick in the first place. Since the island is supposed to make you better....
The team returns from the medical hatch, and Jin threatens (in Korean) to break all of Faraday's fingers. Charlotte finally acknowledges that she's a multilingual little minx and says OK, and that she'll help to get Sun off the island.
Juliet starts the operation but ends up having to get Bernard to put Jack under anyway due to the pain. She kicks Kate out of the tent. Um, Surgery goes OK, and Juliet mentions that Jack kissed her, but that it was because he was trying to prove that he didn't love someone else. And Jack heard the whole thing.
Restraining Order
And last but not least, we find Sawyer, Miles, Claire and Aaron hoofing it through the jungle back to the beach. Miles gets that itchy feeling and turns up the buried bodies of Karl and Danielle. Sawyer realizes there's something else up here. Miles didn't sign up for this killing business either.
Sawyer gives Miles a 'restraining order' with respect to Claire. He's acting like an overprotective big brother.
Continuing through the jungle, they hear some noises ahead. Something's coming through the trees. Old pilot Frank breaks through, with a first aid kit in hand. "You gotta hide, man! Keamy's coming back and he'll kill you if he sees you! Hide!" So Sawyer's company hides in the bushes, and sure enough Keamy and most of his team come through next. They apparently weren't killed by the smoke monster, and really don't seem that worse the wear for the experience. (Of course I didn't count how many there were before, though.)
Aaron makes a bit of a noise, and Keamy gets all nervous about it. Frank finally talks him down and they go away, leaving Sawyer relieved.
That night, around the campfire, they're all asleep. Claire wakes up to find Aaron missing. She looks up to see Christian Shepard holding him. "Dad?!"
The next morning, Sawyer wakes up to find Miles poking around the fire. "Where's Claire?" Oh, she ran off into the jungle last night, with some guy she called dad." He didn't go after her because of his "restraining order."
Sawyer runs off looking for her, and finds Aaron alone at the base of a tree.
"Claire!"
BONK. (just a tiny one)
